Urban Art

The IHT also commemorated 10 years of the Earth Charter through an intervention of urban art and environmental education in Florianopolis, on May 1. The artists Samuel Casal, Victor Grosman (Viti), John Pacheco Jr. (Vejam), Rodrigo Rizzo (Rizo) and Vincius vila (Vina) transformed the wall of 72 m2 of Lar Recanto do Carinho, an institution that works with HIV positive children in outdoor gallery, with the participation of children of the Lar.

Each artist produced his creation on a piece of the wall. Using techniques of stencil graffiti and painting, they printed their perception of the principles of Earth Charter. "Many street artists who paint for pleasure usually have that concern social and environmental. The Institute has just been supporting us and the result is there, "said Samuel, who met the other artists. The children painted their part from designs and patterns created by them, in a workshop prior to Samuel and Vina.

To spread the action, the Vagaluzes Films, a producer of content and partner of the Institute, has documented on video and photos. The audiovisual be directed by Sandra Alves and Vera Longo.
